Pastor Les Higgins, Sr.

On February 9, 2020,  True Way Missionary Baptist Church voted Reverend Les Higgins, Sr. as their new pastor.  We are excited about the journey ahead and where God is taking our congregation.

​

Pastor Les received his Master's Degree in Christian Education from Talbot School of Theology in 2004 and his ministers licence from Faithful Central Bible Church in 2001.  He was ordained and served as the Family Life Pastor for Covenant Blessing Fellowship for 10 years. He also served on the ministry team for community outreach at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church for 4 years. With a passion for ministering to youth and their families, Pastor Les started teaching children and youth Bible studies since the age of 15 as a member of True Way. For 5 years he directed the Veritas Classical Schools of Southern California and served as the program manager for the Family Preservation Network for Triangle Christians Services. He currently is the Chief Executive Officer for Triangle's Women and Children Shelter. The 25 year journey that the Lord has taken him on has brought him back to serve at True Way once again. His vision is to nurture a Spirit-Led congregation rooted in the 5 R's of Ministry as illustrated in Acts 2:42-47:

Pastor Higgins humbly serves alongside his beautiful wife of 20 years, Tasha and their five children.
